Oglesby and Company,
Auctioneers
Scott Oglesby, AARE – Broker, Auctioneer,
& Commercial Real Estate Specialist
Scott has
worked in the purchase & sale of properties at auction for
more than fifteen years and specializes in agricultural/commercial
real estate auction marketing throughout the United States. Scott
has extensive knowledge of the national commercial real estate
market and exemplifies the extra mile that this company and its
associates go in performing their duties at the highest possible
level. He has handled all aspects of the business from sale setup
to contract negotiation; planning and executing incredibly
complicated auction schedules in over 40 states. In 2005 Scott
logged over 65,000 miles of auction travel throughout the country
and abroad. He is also a graduate of the National Auctioneers
Association’s “Accredited Auctioneer, Real Estate” (AARE) program
which is series of education and leadership courses developed and
administered by leaders in the auction industry. Scott also
continues to pursue other continuing education courses and
designations in order to further benefit his
clients.
Merlin Kiesewetter, Auctioneer/Sales
Associate
Merlin
conducted his first real estate auction in 1984. He has since
conducted more than eight hundred auction sales throughout the
mid-western and Atlantic Seaboard states. He and his wife, Carrie
joined Oglesby & Company in 2006 as part of a growing team of
real estate professionals. In addition to real estate, Merlin also
conducts fine art, antiques, and personal property
auctions.
Sue
Helms, Office Manager
The
knowledge and experience Sue Helms brings to the Oglesby Auction
Team was acquired during 12 years as Executive Assistant or Office
Manager in the real estate auction industry. Sue’s
responsibilities include being a central point of communication,
auction and auction manager scheduling, staff coordination, and
general office management. Her organizational skills and attention
to detail serve our clients well.
Eduardo F. Morrell, General
Counsel
The
wealth of knowledge and experience Ed Morrell brings to the
Oglesby Auction Team is derived from his active participation in
the real estate business either as an investor or as an advisor
since 1988. Mr. Morrell’s careful attention to detail and his
involvement before, during, and after the auction benefit all
Oglesby and Company clients. The management resources within the
Morrell firm are very often utilized with respect to planning,
land development, entitlement work, and construction on current
and future auction sales. This participation from start to finish
is one of the many extra services that are available as a result
of our ongoing relationship. Mr. Morrell’s
firm, Morrell, Watson, & Southwell, PA is available to
professionally navigate the intricacies of selling and closing
real estate sold at auction.
Jennifer
Fortson, Auction Coordinator.
Jennifer is a
licensed real estate agent and has enjoyed a solid career with a
RE/MAX brokerage. Her association and involvement in the
auction industry and with auction professionals spans more than 10
years. This exposure was fundamental in developing her
interest in auction marketing, specifically in the areas of
agricultural & commercial real estate. Jennifer’s attention to
detail is exemplified in the service provided by she & her
staff to each client by producing a well-organized and thoroughly
marketed auction campaign.
